About

Florence began her musical journey at the age of 6 in Stratford-upon-Avon, studying both cello and singing. A versatile musician, she achieved her ARSM diploma in cello and was awarded distinction in her singing diploma by the age of 14. From 2016-2019, she honed her skills at the prestigious Junior Royal Academy of Music before beginning her undergraduate studies as a classical soprano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Florence recently graduated from Guildhall with a First-Class Honours degree.

As a soprano, she has performed solo roles with various choirs in London and her home region, as well as lead roles in local musical theatre productions. Florence has sung with the CBSO children's choirs, English Serenata, and was a chorister at St Mary's Collegiate Church in Warwick. Her repertoire spans a wide range of genres, allowing her to stand out in numerous regional and national singing competitions. She is the proud recipient of the 2019 National RIBI Young Musician (Vocal) of the Year award and the prestigious Chris Treglown Award. As BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2016, Florence has graced both local and national radio broadcasts and has performed at special events, including the Institute of Cancer Research's Christmas Concert at the Royal Hospital Chelsea alongside Michael Palin, Vanessa Kirby, and Sophie Bevan.

Florence's operatic experience began with her performance in The Magic Flute during the 2017 Longborough Opera Festival. Most recently, she sang the title role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro for Hewletts Opera Company in the summer of 2023.

As a cellist, Florence was one of the youngest members of the Festival Youth Academy Orchestra at the Chipping Campden International Music Festival, performing alongside distinguished artists such as Nicola Benedetti, Roderick Williams, and Dame Sarah Connolly.

In addition to her performance work, Florence has discovered a passion for event management. Her concert series, Florence and Friends, returned in the spring of 2023, raising over £5,000 to date for Warwickshire Young Carers. This project has combined her love for music and her dedication to community support.

Florence continues to expand her musical career with exciting projects on the horizon – stay tuned for updates! She is also actively accepting private bookings and offering teaching services. If you'd like to get in touch for performances or lessons, please don't hesitate to reach out.
